HandsOn Twin Cities
Posted on 04/15/2019
On May 15th a group call HandsOn Twin Cities (HOTC) will be bringing a group of 20 volunteers from General Mills to the Crystal Community Center to make enhancements to our edible courtyard. HOTC is a full service volunteer center, and they both promote and facilitate volunteerism.

This will be the second year we have had General Mills come out to Crystal to do a project during HOTC’s week of service.

While here the volunteers will be doing the following:
• Building a more accessible pathway into the edible courtyard. The path will also incorporate a rock garden to display Kindness Rocks.
• Planting flowers in pots around the community center.
• Laying mulch in the garden beds near the south entry.
• Digging up shrubs to make may for a garden bed to grow raspberries.

We really appreciate HOTC for seeing the value in this project, and for connecting us to some amazing volunteers.
We encourage you to check out the edible courtyard once the work is completed. There will likely be some greens to harvest as well.
