    CRYSTAL STANDS FOR COMMUNITY STRENGTH

    On Jan. 20, 2026, the Crystal City Council adopted a resolution reaffirming our community’s core values of inclusion, safety, and compassion. The Council recognizes that recent federal immigration enforcement activity has caused fear and uncertainty for many. Crystal remains a welcoming community where everyone — regardless of national origin or physical characteristics — deserves to feel safe, respected, and free from discrimination or harassment.

    Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors Award

    Residents in Crystal can nominate their great neighbor for the "Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors" award. Now in its 10th year, the award honors and thanks great neighbors in Crystal. If you have a kind and thoughtful neighbor who helps out, volunteers in the community or was there in an emergency, the city wants to celebrate them. Nominations can be submitted until Friday, Feb. 20. The chosen nominees will receive their award at the Tuesday, April 14 council meeting, in connection with National Volunteer Week. Since 2017, the City of Crystal has honored those who make our city a wonderful place to live and work with its Neighbors Recognizing Neighbors recognition awards program.

    The City of Crystal is launching Resilient Crystal 2035—its first climate action plan. This roadmap will guide how our community prepares for climate impacts, strengthens resilience, and supports a sustainable future. We want your voice in the process of creating it. There are three ways to participate: Take the community survey. Share your climate future story. Apply to join the planning team.
